My approach to yoga

I believe in the power of movement to heal and strengthen both body and mind. Past years I developed a passion for yoga, I love to share my experience with you too to bring more balance, health and joy into your daily life.

At Motion Is Lotion Yoga, I offer classes to heal your own body. They are designed to help you relax, teach and understand your body's movement patterns, and move with intention. Once understand why you have certain problems and make it clear to yourself that you need better choices to change your situation, it becomes easier to step into new choices and stay committed to them. 

I know the changes that occur in your body with aging, no matter what your age is. From 20 years old on every year we do lose muscle mass. So you do not lose your flexibility but you lose the function of the muscles you do not use regularly. You may think you are not as flexible as you once were, but in truth you are loosing muscle mass.  I've been there myself, and I'm here to guide you reverse that process.

We do experience life via our senses and choices we take make us who we are. If you can make small but effective changes that wil make the difference, you will never go back. You are here beacuse something within you doesn't feel right. What you tried so far has not helped. But today you can begin your journey to a healthier, pain-free life.

At Motion is Lotion Yoga, I aim to reach individuals seeking freedom from pain, connection with their breath, and a happy, fulfilling life. My ideal customer is someone who wants to enjoy life to the fullest by prioritising their health and wellbeing through yoga. They're looking for an experience that not only strengthens their body but also calms their mind, allowing them to live more presently and joyfully.

I am a guide, showing you the key you all ready have to unlock your health and begin a new chapter in your life. Unlike other yoga classes, you'll learn to use your fascial lines, strengthening your entire body as one unit. This approach, combined with breathwork and meditation, provides a holistic path to healing your body and mind.

Functional Yoga Class

Focus on synchronising breath with movement to enhance body awareness and relaxation. Your feet are the foundation of your body. Learn importance of foot balance and how your body moves and understand how to maintain strength and health as you age.

What to expect

At first you will learn to notice your breath and learn about your poor/bad movement habits. With time you will with skillful movements that we do practice, bring new good movement habits into your life. Not only on the mat but in your daily life. That will be the game changer!

We do not focus how to make handstand but if it is your target by the time you can get there. Why not? All you need is commitment and stay in the path. Changes do not come over night but we do each time a small move to new way of being, feeling us. Our choices make us who we are. Class is for all levels.


Somatic Yoga-Pranayama & Meditation Class

Move your body in a very slow pace to teach it again the forgotten range of motion. Incorporate breath exercises and meditation for mental clarity and stress reduction.

What to expect

You will in one hour time experience somatic way of moving your body, breathing exercises to calm your mind and deepening your breath. You will learn to sit in silence what is the most difficult thing to do for modern day. You will discover your body-mind-soul presence. 

If you are having hard time to calm your mind, if you are recovering from an injury that your doctor/physiotherapist gave the green light to move but sporting is not yet available, if you are in some reason having hard time to coop with stress, class is for you! You need no experience in yoga to follow the classes. It is for all levels.

The practice is your "Me Time". A time to give yourself a break from all week's run run rhythm and sit/move/be together with your own breath.

Our aim with our practices should be to get strong and healthy as we age, listening the body. We need to teach ourselves good movement patterns to free from old bad habits that creates pain and disbalance in body and mind.
